FBA Carton Forwarding Service

Relay receiving for Amazon sellers who source online: we receive your retail boxes, supplier shipments, and inbound cartons at our Great Falls, Montana location and forward outbound to Amazon fulfillment centers — with optional prep, relabeling, or inspection along the way.

Online arbitrage and wholesale sellers often have inventory landing in many small inbound packages from many different retailers. Routing all of it directly to an Amazon fulfillment center is usually impossible. High Plains Prep & Pack acts as the intermediate stop: a Montana-based relay address where shipments can land, get reconciled, and then move outbound to Amazon as a properly prepared FBA shipment.

Need a Montana relay address? Submit an intake request and we will reply within one business day. Please do not ship inventory until intake is confirmed.

Three forwarding modes

Not every shipment needs the same treatment. We support three forwarding tiers; you choose what each shipment gets:

Simple forwarding

Receive, log, consolidate, and forward outbound. Best for inventory that arrives FBA-ready in the supplier’s packaging.

  • Inbound receiving
  • Photo on arrival
  • Basic count
  • Outbound to Amazon

Forwarding + prep

Everything in simple forwarding, plus per-unit work performed against your shipment plan. Best when units need FNSKU labels, poly bagging, bundling, or kitting before outbound.

  • All of simple forwarding
  • FNSKU labeling
  • Poly bagging
  • Bundling / kitting
  • Relabeling if required
  • Outbound to Amazon

Forwarding + inspection

Forwarding plus a documented quality check: visible damage, count verification, label and packaging condition, problem-package flagging.

  • All of simple forwarding
  • Visible damage checks
  • Count verification
  • Label / packaging checks
  • Exception reports with photos
  • Outbound to Amazon

Modes can be combined — for example, forwarding + prep + inspection for a higher-risk supplier batch — on a per-shipment basis. You decide at intake what each shipment gets.

What we handle

Relay receiving

Inbound retail boxes, supplier shipments, and cartons received at our Great Falls, MT location and matched to your provided tracking numbers.

Inventory forwarding

Consolidation and onward shipment to Amazon fulfillment centers or other approved destinations.

Outbound forwarding

Cartonization, outbound carrier and box labels, and handoff to your chosen carrier.

Shipment organization

Group by SKU and destination FBA fulfillment center, reconcile against the shipment plan, and stage for pickup.

Relabeling if needed

Apply your provided FNSKU labels, cover conflicting retail barcodes, or replace damaged labels per your instructions.

Quality checks if requested

Visible damage, count verification, label readability, and packaging condition checks when forwarding + inspection is selected.

Problem-package handling

Unmatched inbound packages, missing components, or unidentified shipments held, photographed, and escalated rather than buried.

Exception reports

Written notes plus photo evidence stored against the shipment record so the audit trail is intact.

How a forwarding job runs

  1. You submit an intake request describing the expected volume, supplier mix, and which forwarding mode each shipment will use.
  2. We confirm acceptance after a capacity review.
  3. You send the shipment plan, FNSKU file if applicable, prep instructions if applicable, and inbound tracking numbers for each expected package.
  4. You direct online suppliers and retailers to ship to our Montana relay address.
  5. Inbound packages arrive. We photograph the condition, match to tracking, and log.
  6. We apply the selected mode: simple forwarding, plus prep, plus inspection, or any combination.
  7. We cartonize, apply outbound box and shipment labels, reconcile against the shipment plan, and stage for carrier handoff.
  8. We hand off cartons to your chosen carrier and record outbound tracking on the shipment.
  9. You receive a completion update with counts, exceptions, photos, and outbound tracking.

When carton forwarding makes sense

Carton forwarding is the right service when your inventory arrives already prepped — FNSKU labels applied, polybagged where required, bundled and kitted, ready for Amazon — and the only steps left are outbound box labels, carrier handoff, and tracking back to you. It is common for wholesale shipments arriving in already-prepped master cartons, for sellers who keep prep close to the source, and for retailer shipments that come labeled by the seller's own automation but need a Montana ship-from address.

Forwarding is also a good fit when you only need a clean receive-side audit and carrier handoff, not a full prep workflow. We still photograph arrival, count cartons, reconcile against your shipment plan, and flag damage at the carton level — that part does not change.

What to send us

For carton forwarding, send:

  • Amazon shipment plan with carton counts and weights.
  • Outbound box labels (or authorization for us to print them from the plan).
  • Inbound tracking numbers and expected carton counts.
  • Any handling notes — heavy bottoms, fragile, this-side-up, hazmat restrictions.
  • Carrier preference and pickup window.

How carton forwarding fits with our other services

Carton forwarding is essentially a stripped-down outbound workflow that hands off after receiving. If anything on your shipment actually needs touch-up prep — relabeling, replacement polybags, re-bundling — see FBA shipment prep instead. FBA receiving service covers the receive-side audit in more detail, and Montana FBA prep and sales tax explains the address angle for sellers who choose Montana specifically.

Intake required before shipping inventory. Submitting an intake request does not guarantee acceptance. We review capacity, item type, timeline, and required prep before approving shipments. Do not ship inventory until High Plains confirms acceptance and provides next-step instructions.

What we do not promise

Forwarding handled carefully gives a shipment its best chance at smooth Amazon receiving, but the final acceptance decision is Amazon’s. We do not guarantee Amazon acceptance, Amazon receiving speed, carrier delivery speed, carrier performance, inbound defect outcomes, reimbursement eligibility, defect prevention at the fulfillment center, or any specific account-health effect. We do not select your carriers, set carrier service levels, control rate fluctuations, or guarantee carrier transit windows — those depend on the carrier you choose and conditions we don’t control. The seller remains responsible for shipment plan accuracy, product eligibility, supplier quality, and Amazon compliance under their seller agreement. We control the workmanship on our floor — receiving accuracy, label placement, cartonization, reconciliation, and documentation — and hold ourselves to a high bar on exactly that.
